While some organizations had the infrastructure and policies in place to handle a crisis like the current, many did not, resulting in stopped work and layoffs. With the advent of COVID-19, CREW Detroit has re-imagined its April “Retooling Your Business for the Future" program to focus on sustaining business during pandemic situations and what experts in the commercial real estate industry envision “business as usual” to look like after COVID-19. Join us April 22 at 1 p.m. for a one-hour webinar featuring important organizational perspectives, moderated by CREW Detroit’s President Jennifer Chambers, and offered at no charge to both members and nonmembers.
Our hope is for attendees – from the safety of their home offices – to glean innovative ideas that could help navigate business in times of uncertainty.
- Bill Lichwalla, CEO + President of Plante Moran Cresa, (Bio), will provide a c-suite-level perspective on sustaining business during pandemic, as well as discuss the secular shift that may result from it, whether that’s standardizing flexible schedules or investing in stronger digital infrastructure; and share creative options for avoiding workforce reduction
- Heather Greene, Detroit Workplace Design Leader + Strategist at Stantec Architecture, (Bio), will share research + benchmarking on retooling the office for work-share, hoteling and conferencing; discuss change management to support employees working remotely; and address the question of, “Do we need an office for focused workspace anymore?”
This program supports CREW Detroit’s broader efforts to share resources and hopefully minimize the impact of this unfortunate situation on the commercial real estate industry.
