President's Message

Lisa Robach
CREW Detroit 2022 President

I am so proud to serve as your Detroit chapter President in 2022 – and I’m thrilled be part of your CREW! To connect and communicate more clearly with members and partners, I will publish frequent messages updating you on our chapter’s initiatives and activities. I welcome your feedback, comments, and questions as we move through the year. Please reach out!

In reflection of the past two years, I feel immense pride and admiration for what CREW Detroit achieved through one of the most challenging times many of us have ever experienced. In 2020, we continued to engage our members, assist displaced members and attract new members to our orbit with our ‘Help Learn Meet’ initiatives. Throughout 2021, our chapter continued growing stronger. We maintained quality programming both in person and virtually. We celebrated our 35th anniversary as part of the powerful CREW Network in December with a sell-out gala event. It’s through the support of our valued members, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, as well as incredible board leadership and direction that we moved the dial so exponentially on our mission.

Speaking of our board members, I am honored to lead this organization with a powerhouse group of women. Familiarize yourself with our executive committee and board of directors. We are all ready to greet you at our next event – don’t be shy!

Looking ahead, I believe CREW has never been more relevant or essential to our industry. We’ve all faced an incredible challenge these past two years and have learned to be agile, to persevere in the face of adversity, to be RESILIENT, and to support one another within our communities. I encourage each of us to use the lessons we’ve learned to create a positive impact around us however we can.

I’m excited that this year will bring more opportunities for networking, face-to-face connection, and progressing our mission to accelerate the advancement of women in commercial real estate. I’m proud to be part of an organization that truly walks the talk in everything we do. With the execution of our many initiatives, including leadership and professional development opportunities, mentorship, award recognition of our members, and networking opportunities to help build businesses and careers – CREW continues to be a space for us to grow and flourish.

With that said, I have a few action items for you:

  • Apply to be a member or commit to attending CREW events this year. We have details posted on our events page for some of our upcoming programs – and you can look forward to your favorites like our golf socials, hard hats and heels, and Impact Awards.
  • If you are a member, become engaged – join a committee, look for opportunities to give back on a local or network level.
  • Become a sponsor and help us advance our mission.
  • Donate to the CREW Network Foundation to help fund research papers and provide scholarships for students seeking careers in CRE.

And once again – a big thank you to all of our volunteer leaders. Please show your appreciation if you have an opportunity.
