This week’s spotlight is on Jennifer Thomas, Entitlements Manager, Lombardo Companies.  Jennifer is the Board Liaison for CREW Detroit Golf Committee.  With her commitment and dedication, CREW Detroit Golf committee’s mission is to connect the commercial real estate industry through the game of golf. The committee offers participants, sponsors and volunteers a high caliber event, while promoting networking and increasing the visibility of the CREW Detroit brand to non-CREW Detroit members. The Golf Committee also organizes a Swing & Sip event, which allows members and non-members to learn the game of golf or to improve their skills. The Golf Committee aims to continuously build upon the existing golf events, in an effort to be the premiere networking, sponsorship and charitable fundraising event in Southeast Michigan.

Name the app you can’t live without. Why?
Pinterest – It’s a one stop shop for Recipes, DYI Projects, etc.

What character trait do you most admire?
Honesty.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I have my Level III ballet certification through The Cecchetti Council of America.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
It’s not advice, but the basics of “Always treat others how you would like to be treated”.   If someone treats you poorly, always remember that there may be something in their life that is steaming that on the other end, so continue to treat them with respect and kindness.

Who is your favorite Superhero? Why?
My mom- the work ethic and drive that I have today comes from her.  She has always supported me in any way that she can, which allows me to give back to others through the giving nature that I learned from her.

What was the biggest thing, business or personal, you accomplished this year?
Making a career move in the middle of the pandemic.  Changing careers is always nerve racking.  However, changing in the middle of a “work from home” state can be extra challenging.  Putting any of those “what if’s” aside and jumping right in was a biggest/best decision.

Is there a charitable cause you support? If so, what makes them so important to you?
The Great Lakes Burn Camp.  It is a charity that helps to provide a safe space for children to go and be themselves, while healing from their burns.

What is the most important thing we should know about you?
I love to share my knowledge/experiences and help others in any way that I can.
