Name the app you can’t live without. Why?
Spotify. I’m always listening to music. Whether I’m in the car, working, doing things around the house…music is always on.
What character trait do you most admire?
Honesty. It creates trust, openness and empowers us to do what’s right.
Do you have any hidden talents?
In middle school, I played the bass clarinet. I was decent enough to earn a music camp scholarship the summer before 8th grade. I also won a number of competitive awards for debate while in high school.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
It’s not advice I was given, but Richard Branson has a great quote, which is great guidance for leaders, “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to.”
What was the biggest thing, business or personal, you accomplished this year?
The last year had been difficult for so many people. Toward the end of 2020, I was fortunate enough to find a new position that values my skill set and expertise. A place where I can effect change and make a meaningful contribution to the company.
Who is your favorite Superhero? Why?
I don’t have a favorite superhero, per se – but I have a love for all of the cheesy 80s and 90s superhero movies. My dad and I would always catch the latest superhero movie when I was a kid. He passed away when I was a teenager, so I have a fondness for them because of the memories they hold.
Is there a charitable cause you support? If so, what makes them so important to you?
I support a number of national non-profits causes that protect and support equality, as well as provide valuable resources to local communities, including the ACLU and Human Rights Campaign. I also donate my time to food kitchens who support the homeless and underserved.
What is the most important thing we should know about you?
I’m always willing to try and learn new things.
