This week’s Spotlight is on Laura Criswell, Senior Relationship Manager with the CoStar Group. Laura also serves as the Board Co-Chairperson to CREW Detroit’s Impact Awards Committee. With Laura’s leadership, the mission of the CREW Detroit Impact Awards Committee is to successfully plan, implement and promote a premier awards program focused on utilizing membership, sponsorship and industry relationships to recognize, and award, recently completed commercial developments. The Impact Awards are designed to recognize projects that have significantly impacted their surrounding community.
Why did you join CREW? And how long have you been in CREW?
I was new to the Detroit area and wanted to meet a group of like-minded, hardworking and passionate individuals in my field. This organization has been monumental for not only my professional life, but personal friendships as well. This is my second year as a member of CREW Detroit.
What advice would you give a new Member?
Join a committee and get involved! Being active on a committee is the best way to connect with other CREW members and will help you get the most out of being a member. As we all know, you get out what you put in.
How have you been involved in CREW? Committees; Board?
When I joined CREW I immediately signed up for the Impact Awards Committee. I knew I wanted to be involved in this amazing event. I recently became the Co-Chair on the committee in 2020.
