The mission of the CREW Detroit Impact Awards Committee is to successfully plan, implement and promote a premier awards program focused on utilizing membership, sponsorship and industry relationships to recognize, and award, recently completed commercial developments. The Impact Awards is designed to recognize projects that have significantly impacted their surrounding community.
Each year, the Impact Awards Committee continuously engages its membership, as well as non-member commercial real estate industry professionals, to source projects, coordinate submittals, obtain sponsorship and compose a judge’s panel which includes a diverse group of real estate professionals.
Each member of the committee is expected to serve a full-year term (e.g. calendar year), for a maximum of four consecutive terms on the committee.
The committee has a standing meeting on the first Tuesday of each month from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at various committee member’s offices in Metro Detroit.
- Members of the committee should plan on a minimum of one hour in-person meeting and/or conference call per month.
- Members of the committee should plan an additional hour per month to follow up on tasks associated with the individual Liaison responsibility they have volunteered for, i.e. example the Centerpiece Liaison, Welcome Gift Liaison, Awards Liaison, etc.
- Members of the committee should also plan on dedicating approximately four hours in late July, to attend the Judge’s Luncheon.
- Members should plan to arrive early, participate in event preparations, and attend the Annual Impact Awards Ceremony that occurs each Fall.
