Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion "DEI"

Utilizing data, education, action, and advocacy, the CREW Detroit DEI committee is dedicated to cultivating meaningful conversations around issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion that will expand members’ understanding and appreciation for all people regardless of their gender, race, ability, sexual orientation, religion, age, socio-economic status or educational attainment.  The DEI Committee is leading CREW Detroit’s DEI efforts for inclusivity and promote representation of the CRE industry.  Pillars have been developed to direct the committee on their efforts:

  • DATA
    Develop the tools, tracking, and KPI’s to keep CREW Detroit moving forward and holding ourselves accountable to our goals.
    Provide resources and establish strategic partnerships with relevant organizations [with additional organizations, CREW Network, articles, etc.] to educate, learn, and listen to our members and prospective members.
    Assess CREW's policies and procedures to establish protocols to embed DEI best practices into every element of our work to support MBE and WBE-owned CRE businesses whenever possible.
    Committee members will model accountability and support members and guests understanding why DEI matters, how it impacts all of us, and how they can support our work.
