Eileen McCarthy elected Chairman of AGC Michigan board of directors.
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Michigan has elected long time CREW Detroit member Eileen McCarthy, vice president of Farmington-based McCarthy & Smith Construction as chairman of the association’s board of directors. AGC is the Michigan’s leading full-service association for commercial construction firms.
“I am honored and humbled to be the first woman elected as chairman of this proud and historic organization,” said Eileen McCarthy. “Like my father and brother before me, I will lead this great association with integrity and a spirit of rising the tide for all of Michigan’s commercial construction industry.”
As vice president of McCarthy & Smith, Ms. McCarthy manages the construction and renovation of diverse projects throughout Michigan. Her extensive career includes experience in both the Chicago and Detroit markets, having been involved with more than $1 billion of construction throughout her career. Eileen has been on the AGC of Michigan since 2016 and she is also active in Sweet Dreamzz Detroit.
Congratulations, Eileen on another historic appointment! In 2013, Eileen became the first woman inducted into the Michigan Construction Hall of Fame.
