Leadership Spotlight: Jennifer Manix – Chair, Membership

2019 Leadership Spotlight Series

Jennifer Manix the Membership Chair at CREW Detroit and is the Global  Sales Manager for Knight Watch.  Jennifer joined CREW in 2018 to meet other like-minded and powerful women.  Her advice to others in CRE  “be a part of the movement that is making Detroit strong and impactful.”

Under her leadership, the Membership committee is responsible for attracting and recruiting new and diverse members to the organization; planning new member events and continually tracking and updating the membership database. Her engaging personality and determination has resulted in improved membership retention and growth.

 


Why did you join CREW? And how long have you been in CREW?
I joined CREW to network with great women who care about the outcome of Detroit and to deepen my relationship with those women.  I’ve been attending CREW events since 2014, but recently became a member in 2018.

Why is CREW important to you ?                                                      CREW is important to me because it represents powerful (badass) women that are apart of amazing projects throughout the state of Michigan and I love being associated with that group.

To your company?
For my company, it is a great referral source and marketing tool.

Why should people within the CRE industry join CREW?
To be a part of the movement, that is making Detroit strong and impactful.

How have you been involved in with CREW? Committees; Board?
After joining CREW I became involved in membership, and now I am the Membership chair.

What advice would you give a new Member?
0/100 is always my rule. If you are going to be a member you really need to dive in, this will give you the full/right experience.
