Why is CREW important to you? To your company?
CREW is important for many reasons; however, I think the most important factor for myself and my organization is the diverse group of members that are passionate about the CRE industry. CREW members are top-notch and always willing to support one another whether it’s personal or for a pursuit.

Why should people within the CRE industry join CREW?
CREW is an amazing network and offers many educational resources and opportunities for growth, development, and access to a national network of members that are willing to support other CRE professionals throughout their careers. In addition, CREW presents a wide assortment of programs and events both locally and nationally to further enhance the benefits of being a member.

3 things I wish I had known to elevate my professional career.

  • Get involved earlier in organizations such as CREW.
  • Always think about what works best for you. In the now and for the future
  • Learn to create your own opportunities.

How have you been involved in with CREW? Committees; Board?
I have been on the Impact Committee for several years and support the Communications Committee when I can. I love being a member of both committees; they both offer challenges and elevate me to be the best version of myself, personally and professionally.

What advice would you give a new Member?
Get involved, get involved, get involved! Join a committee, meet new people, and challenge yourself to elevate CREW Detroit.

What is your favorite quote?
“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
