Why did you join CREW? And how long have you been in CREW?
I joined CREW in 2015 after attending a few events and meeting with Leadership on Membership. I joined to gain access to a network of real estate professionals with whom I could do business with.
Why is CREW important to you? To Your Company?
In my specific profession there are not many women and so initially I was encouraged by my company to represent them in this organization. It is important to me today because I would like to see more CREW referrals, business together, etc. and elevate women’s position in our industry. In the Fall of 2017 my business partner and I created an all-women’s commercial real estate brokerage team and having me represent our team in CREW is beneficial to our message. https://www.aeresignature.com/
What has CREW done for you? Personally and Professionally?
I have had the opportunity to meet incredible women in this organization who I’ve been able to arrange meetings with and foster new business relationships with.
Why should people within the CRE industry join CREW?
Access to incredible resources and professionals on an approachable platform.
Can you share a #crewsuccess story? Job Opportunity? Project Opportunity?
As a Tenant Representation Broker, I had the opportunity to recommend architects to be interviewed by a Client for their space buildout. I recommended three CREW Detroit member companies. It was a great opportunity for me to pool relationships and present them with the opportunity (and I felt confident recommending them to my client). I am hopeful for more opportunities for my team.
How have you been involved with CREW? Committees; Board?
I’ve been on the Golf Committee since joining, now I’m the Chair of the Golf Committee.
What advice would you give a new Member?
Join a committee! It is the best way to network given the scale and amount of face-to-face opportunities.
